I love this place. Nice atmosphere and attentive wait staff. Have only gone for breakfast so far when I visit my friend for shopping and whatnot.

Well I could go on and on about this place but try to keep it short! The waitress was basically trying to make our decisions for us on our food we were ordering. Then the mashed potatoes, stuffed peppers, macaroni, grilled haddock, and apple sauce all were gross to all three of us! The worst part of it all was they wouldn't even give a simple 10% discount or anything for our complaints! Oh and almost forgot when we sat down a woman at another table made a comment were all going to die and we didn't understand until after they were gone and we got our food that was gross! I will never in my life go back! We just wanted to try something new and it was a huge mistake!

Food was flavorless!! Very disappointed. Server barely spoke English. She didn't even know what kind of hot sauce they had when asked and wouldn't even check to see. Bad experience. We left without eating our food.

The staff was excellent! The food was hot, fresh, and wholesome. The place was clean and had lots of room. Looks like it had a side room for parties. I will definitely return and would definitely recommend to anyone.

This is a very nice restaurant that I wish I'd noticed before. The staff is incredible and doesn't just act friendly towards customers in a basic way. Instead they're very social and opinionated and it's a nice change of pace. The food is great and there are some decent specials. It's also very pretty inside. Last time I ordered the seafood feast. Butterfly shrimp, cod, oyster, and a crab cake with two sides (I got fries and mashed potatoes) for only about $18. The sizing is generous and they include a bunch of sauces on the side to fit any tastes. Everything was great but the butterfly shrimp was the absolute best. The previous time I was here I tried their special burger and it was just as wonderful. My aunt likes to get the roast beef sandwich every time because they prepare it so well. Your drinks won't go empty for a second and you won't be left alone.

This place is really nice. I can't understand why it isn't busier. It isn't the greatest but in my opinion it beats out any other restaurant in this category in Hagerstown. It is clean and not so noisy like some places around here. Prices are comparable to others in the area. My only complaint is the walk to get to a table. I have blood cancer and am winded when walking to far. Other than that it's a nice place to eat.

This place is fantastic! My mom and I used to go to the old railroad junction and we loved it then and we love it still! The waitresses were super friendly and the food was delicious! We can't wait to go back! I can not rave enough about how great this place is. Definitely telling everyone I know to check this place out 😉

Had the shrimp. They were good. Back potatoe was over cooked. Management got on my nerves. Kept introducing us.Tried to give railroad junction a second chanceWont give it a 3rd. Had a.u.c.e. beef potpie on the menu. Nope! If ur out take it off the menu. He ordered salmon cakes. Still dont know what the fish was. He didnt eat it. Baked potato still over cooked. Charged us for the mystery meat cakes. Once my 2nd choice country ham came it was good. Really salty really really.

We visited Railroad for our family Christmas dinner and had a delicious meal! Staff was super friendly, the food was amazing. My steak was so juicy and tender you could cut it with a fork! The homemade chocolate peanut butter cake was out of this world. Highly recommend

Menu was mediocre at best , food quality was fair . wait staff was very friendly. menu pricing is high considering what you are getting! green beans had no seasoning fresh right out of the can mac and cheese macaroni mushy cheese tasted old. Fried Chicken must have been a p p should have left to mature more bones than meat, waitress told us if we didn't eat the bread she had to throw out she should have thrown it out before we were served.

Such a cozy place! The food was fresh, well presented on the plate and exactly what you expected. The cream of crab was very delicious. The turkey club was beautiful and constructed perfectly. My husband ordered the pattymelt and it was juicy on the inside and the grilled bread definitely was not greasy. You could tell that the person who prepared our food truly enjoys what they are doing and exceptional at it!We are not from this area, we were passing through after a family visit in PA.

We came through the door moments before closing with a party of 5. The owner and staff welcomed us. The food was warm and wholesome. Pricing was outstanding. The owner took the time to make sure everything was perfect. The waitress went above and beyond. My favorite place to visit when I’m in town. Perfect family friendly environment. Very clean!

Food is all prepared from scratch, the cook is excellent for that home cooking feel. Big servings, owners actually work the restaurant, friendly staff with an old time feeling. Well lit, the local older crowd eats here. Prices are very low for good quality and large servings. A bar is offered for holidays and special servings. No young crowd. On a main Street but never crowded. Extra room to rent for meetings, banquets etc. Love the owners, go out of their way to make sure you are happy with everything. Wheel chair accessible bathroom, front door and seating.

Nice diner.. Great atmosphere. Good options and good food. Prices were on par with what you'd expect.. Service was a bit slow,only 3 other groups in at the time and the wait was oddly long, with me having to ask for just about everything (napkins, drinks, check, menus, etc) Maybe just an off day?

Menu on the wall, taste like home cooking...delicious! Atmosphere is too quiet, owners need to fix bathrooms. Menus change every day and worth it. Caters to senior crowd but is great prices for families. Not a popular place so service is immediate, hot, economical, worth every penny. A real diamond in the rough.

Good hearty breakfast. Feels like home cooking with fresh ingredients. Potato add-on's were missing. Hard to spot from a car -- it was our first visit and we drove right by, turning around with difficulty. Reasonably priced.
